A few observations as I wrap up this year's project:
1) Not surprisingly, one photo a week is easier than one photo a day.
2) One photo a week can still be difficult.
3) Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the 52 photos. There are a couple I rushed and would like to do over.
4) I'm not satisfied with the variety of the 52 photos. This turned into much more of a family-centered project than I wanted. Now, I realize that for the majority of my small audience that's probably just fine, but it didn't accomplish my original photographic goals.
So what's next for 2016? I'm not sure. Picture of the kids will continue, of course. They're just growing up too quickly.
I'd also like to take a slightly more technical approach to some of my posts. Now there are plenty of professional photographers who offer excellent online tutorials for all skill levels, and I'm in no position to compete with those; in fact, I may reference some of them for those who are interested in more in-depth discussions. I would, however, like to provide a few tips and maybe some behind-the-scenes looks at how my pictures come together. Stay tuned...
